Loteria Grill
Jimmy Shaw / Los Angeles, CA

In 2002, Jimmy Shaw left a 17-year advertising career to pursue his dream of becoming an executive chef, opening Loteria! Grill in Los Angeles. Today, Shaw operates five critically acclaimed Loteria locations and wants to expand his Mexican cuisine empire to Los Angeles International Airport. A $500,000 small business loan from VEDC enabled Shaw and Loteria to pair with the Torta Company, bringing 20 new jobs to downtown. Loteria’s creative cocktails and authentic dishes have proved popular with both patrons and food critics alike!
